Our Services:

How We Can Support You

We provide Level 2 and Level 3 Support Coordination

According to the NDIA, a Support Coordinator helps you make the best use of the supports in your plan. At Roar Supports, we see ourselves more as your personal NDIS project manager. Yes, we make sure your funding is used correctly, but more importantly, we help you build a team that really fits your life. Whether you need a hand finding the right therapists, a reliable gardener, or a support worker you click with, we’re here to make it happen. But we also know that sometimes, things get a bit more complicated.

Because we have years of experience navigating complex support needs, we’re experts at untangling the tricky stuff and liaising with other agencies such as Health, Justice or Housing. We assist with Home and Living supports (SIL/ILO or SDA), help you manage big life changes, mental health challenges, social reintegration and we navigate complex plan reviews and ART appeals. We're also here to step in when there's a crisis.

We think outside the box and provide the professional support you need to make sure the NDIS works for you, no matter how overwhelming things might feel.

You can find more information about what Support Coordinators do in the Common Questions section below or visit the NIDS website.

Level 2 Support Coordination:

Coordination of Supports

We work with you to break your plan down into something that actually makes sense, connecting you with providers you enjoy working with and helping you build a support team that fits your life. We’ll guide you through the system, troubleshoot if issues come up, and make sure you are using your funding in a way that supports your goals, without the overwhelm. Think of it as having an expert project manager in your corner to handle the administrative heavy lifting.

Level 3 Support Coordination:

Specialist Support Coordination

We provide high-level Specialist Support Coordination for participants with complex, multi-layered needs. With many years of experience in the role and sector, we specialise in untangling systemic barriers and managing high-stakes situations that require a more intensive approach. We work closely with your entire support network and cross-agency services, such as Health, Justice, and Housing, to build a strategic plan that stabilises your supports.

Whether you are navigating a complex hospital discharge, exploring SIL/SDA housing options, or managing an ART appeal, we provide the professional rigour and specialist oversight needed to steer through the most challenging transitions and crises.

PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am so glad to have been introduced to Sarai when looking for a Support Coordinator.

Sarai has been incredibly supportive and professional always when meeting with her either in person or telephone. She is warm and friendly and makes me feel incredibly comfortable.

Sarai has helped me to navigate the NDIS and difficult process of searching for providers to assist and support my son who has complex additional needs.

I feel greatly relieved knowing that our family, particularly myself being a busy parent of two young adults with different NDIS plans and needs has the support of someone as helpful and diligent as Sarai.

Sarai has made a huge difference in my life.

I just want to acknowledge and commend you on all the work you have done over the years working with V.

You always expressed genuine care and empathy towards V.'s particular needs and at all times you gave real professional advice to all his requirements.

I feel it is a real testament to the above as when you decided to go out on your own V. requested to continue with you as "She’s very good at what she does, very professional". His words!

Thank you once again.

Bernice, Plan Nominee

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Even though we’ve only just started working together, I already feel such a difference in the way I look at NDIS. Sarai explained things about my plan that nobody has explained to me before.

Sarai took the time to really listen and understand what I need, she did not rush me, or talk down to me (like unfortunately many providers do).

She’s kind, extremely knowledgable, and making me look forward to working together and get better support.

Sarai is making me feel supported and I am so glad I found her!

Louis, NDIS Participant

COMMON QUESTIONS

Do I have Support Coordination funding?

If Support Coordination is included in your plan, you will find it under the Capacity Building section.

If it's not included, I can help you submit a request for it to be added.

What does Independent mean?

Being independent means I work only for you, not for a company that provides other services. That means there’s no conflict of interest, you stay in control, and I’ll assist you to make sure your plan works for you, without pressure, and with no hidden agenda.

My funding is agency-managed, can you support me?

At the moment, I can only work with participants whose Support Coordination budget is plan-managed or self-managed.

If your funding is agency-managed, I’m happy to help you submit a plan variation request to change it. Once it’s approved, we can start the onboarding process.

What exactly does a Support Coordinator do?

We act as a bridge between you and everyone involved in your support network, like your therapists, support workers, plan manager, the NDIS, and other service providers. We make sure all the moving parts are working together smoothly, and some of the ways we do that include:

  • "Translating" your NDIS plan in understandable language.

  • Finding and connecting you with providers and support staff you enjoy working with (and cancelling them if you don't).

  • Liaising with your providers and stakeholders and setting up service agreements.

  • Helping you stay on top of your funding, so you don’t run out early or leave money unused.

  • Checking in regularly to make sure everything’s working for you and your support network is running smoothly.

  • Stepping in when things get tricky (like service issues or changes in your needs).

  • Supporting you to prepare for plan reviews, change of situation requests and other plan changes.

  • Reporting to the NDIS.

  • Responding to all your NDIS-related questions so you always feel supported and listened to.

Can I change my Support Coordinator?

Absolutely. You can change your Support Coordinator anytime. You’re not locked in, and that goes for any NDIS provider. If something’s not clicking, your Support Coordinator should support you in finding you a better fit, both for Support Coordination and any other formal NDIS support.
